About The Position

The Senior Manager, Workplace Planning & Advice leads a team of foundational Workplace Planning Consultants focused on delivering entry-level advice, education, and transactional support to participants. This role ensures a smooth onboarding experience, rapid progression to productivity, and consistent advice quality. The manager fosters a learning environment while driving individual growth, customer satisfaction, and foundational metric achievement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 required. (Series 9/10 acceptable substitute for 24); Series 63/65 permissible.
  • FINRA fingerprinting required.
  • 3+ years of financial services or Workplace Planning & Advice experience.
  • 1–2 years of leadership or coaching experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with qualified plan types, IRAs, advice delivery, and service center operations.
  • Passionate about development and coaching.
  • Skilled in managing new hire progression and feedback loops.
  • Committed to service and advice quality.
  • Comfortable supervising multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Capable of navigating change and driving continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Consultants delivering education and point-in-time fiduciary advice to plan participants.
  • Own onboarding, development, and performance plans that accelerate speed to proficiency and progression into Senior Consultant roles.
  • Coach team members on Empower advice model, Best Interest Profile (BIP), referral processes, and core product guidance.
  • Supervise participant interactions to ensure compliant, accurate, and effective advice delivery.
  • Monitor and manage performance metrics including quality scores, service standards, call volume, and referral activity.
  • Act as supervisory principal for fiduciary advice and account opening activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with EPW Training, Workforce Management, and Segment leaders to align hiring, schedules, and content updates.
  • Identify trends in escalations, address root causes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, call reviews, performance appraisals, and developmental feedback conversations.
  • Champion culture, diversity, recognition, and career mobility within the team.
