Transcend; Senior Manager- Value Stream Leader Order to Cash
About The Position
Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. This program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharmaceutical business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade. We are searching for the best talent for Transcend: Sr. Manager- Value Stream Order to Cash. This fully onsite role will be located in Titusville, NJ. A pre-identified candidate for consideration has been identified. However, all applications will be considered. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Value Stream Leads to drive the implementation of the SAP S/4HANA global process template within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role is responsible for deploying the standardized value stream solution globally, ensuring strict adherence to SAP Clean Core principles while designing only legally required localizations. The candidate will bring deep value stream process expertise, a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the life sciences sector, and a collaborative leadership approach to successfully guide cross-functional teams through the ERP transformation journey. The position will directly lead a cross functional team of process experts. Additionally, they will have matrix leadership over contractors, and support personal such as CEBA and PMO team members. The VSL will be a key face to the site personal for the specific deployment, and will need to be able to shape and influence in the face of resistance to change.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience required.
- Deep knowledge of Value Stream processes in a GxP-compliant environment, including commercial distribution, serialization, credit management, and revenue recognition.
- Solid understanding of SAP Clean Core principles, extensibility strategies (e.g., In-App, Side-by-Side), and the implications for long-term system sustainability.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and partner engagement skills, including experience working with business leaders, regulatory bodies, and global teams.
- Familiarity with CSV, SDLC, GXP
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry.
- Proficiency with SAP tools including S/4HANA modules relevant to the Value Stream, (i.e. Sales and Distribution, Credit Management, Billing), Fiori, Solution Manager, Other
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Implement the pre-defined global Value Stream process template across regions and business units, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and SAP standards.
- Lead the deployment of the Value Stream template within S/4HANA, avoiding customizations unless rigorously required by legal or regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all design decisions conform to SAP Clean Core principles—favoring configuration over custom development and applying standard extensibility frameworks where needed.
- Lead cross-functional teams including business SMEs, IT, SAP consultants, validation experts, and system integrators in the execution of Value Stream-related project deliverables.
- Collaborate with other value stream leads (e.g., Procure to Pay, Finance, Manufacturing) to ensure fully integrated end-to-end process design.
- Act as a key interface between business units, program leadership, and technical teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timeline, and business readiness.
- Be responsible for detailed solution design, configuration reviews, data migration validation, testing strategy (including GxP and CSV compliance), and business process walkthroughs.
- Lead Value Stream-related testing activities including Functional Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validation activities in alignment with SDLC.
- Support the creation and approval of Value Stream-related validation deliverables in accordance with QA and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Change Management team to drive user readiness and adoption of the global Value Stream template.
- Support creation and delivery of training materials and process documentation tailored to the needs of regulated users and business partners.
