About The Position

This role leads and oversees a global travel and expense (T&E) program, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a seamless experience for employees across multiple regions. The Senior Manager drives strategy, implements best practices, and optimizes systems and processes while managing vendor relationships. This position involves leading a global team, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and fostering continuous process improvement. The role requires collaboration with finance, HR, and operational leaders to align T&E policies with business objectives. Candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, international environment and act as a trusted advisor for T&E strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in travel and expense management, preferably in a global technology or software environment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to support strategic decisions
  • Experience with global T&E systems, online booking tools, and expense platforms (e.g., SAP Concur, Egencia, or similar)
  • Knowledge of international travel regulations, tax implications, and compliance best practices
  • Demonstrated success leading digital transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams while managing cross-functional projects
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain global travel and expense policies and procedures in compliance with regulations and business objectives
  • Oversee relationships with travel vendors and management companies, negotiating services and ensuring high-quality cost-effective solutions
  • Lead deployment, optimization, and user adoption of expense management platforms and booking tools
  • Manage a global team of analysts responsible for expense report processing, compliance, and employee support
  • Monitor spend, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and integration of acquired entities into T&E systems
  • Serve as escalation point for complex or sensitive travel and expense issues and ensure timely resolutions
  • Conduct training, internal communications, and awareness initiatives to support policy compliance and system usage
