About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing, you will collaborate and lead significant components of 3M’s global transfer pricing program. This role will provide leadership to manage transfer pricing initiatives as well as operate as a strategic partner with stakeholders globally within and outside of Tax.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Tax, (completed and verified prior to start).
Ten (10) years of experience in transfer pricing within a multinational corporation, or accounting firm in a private, public, government or military environment.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree (MBA, MS, JD) and/or professional certification (CPA, EA).
Prior experience in a large, matrixed, global organization.
Strong technical knowledge of US Treasury Regulations 1.482, the Transfer Pricing Guidelines from the OECD and international tax principles
Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑country projects and engage effectively with senior stakeholders
Demonstrates strong judgment, accountability, and ownership of outcomes
Operates comfortably in complexity and ambiguity, balancing technical rigor with business practicality
Builds trust through collaboration, clear communication, and consistent execution

Responsibilities

Leading the development and interpretation of 3M’s transfer pricing policies
Provide technical leadership to evaluate/lead transfer pricing implications of business changes
Ensuring alignment between transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and operational activities
Acting as a primary point of contact for transfer pricing technical expertise within certain assigned areas
Leading, mentoring, and developing tax and transfer pricing team members and contributing to overall team capability building
Supporting internal controls, governance processes, and financial statement disclosures related to transfer pricing and Country‑by‑Country Reporting
Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
