About The Position

The Senior Manager, Tech Ops, will lead strategic digital initiatives that improve the end-to-end Walmart Business customer journey. This role connects customer and commercial needs with technology solutions, translating business opportunities into clear priorities and driving complex, cross-functional programs from strategy through execution and measurable outcomes. Working across Product, Engineering, Design, Data & Analytics, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations, this leader will influence priorities, manage dependencies and risks, and establish the operating mechanisms needed to deliver scalable customer and business impact. The Walmart Business Digital Experience team shapes and improves the end-to-end digital journey for business customers—from account activation and discovery through purchasing, repeat engagement, and connected commerce. We identify customer friction and growth opportunities and translate them into scalable digital capabilities. Requirements

  • Experience leading complex digital, technology, eCommerce, customer experience, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Translate customer and business problems into actionable solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong cross-functional leadership across Business, Product, Engineering, Data & Analytics, and Operations.
  • Apply strong business judgment to prioritize opportunities based on customer impact, value, scalability, risk, and strategy.
  • Build compelling business cases and manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Combine customer insights, data, and business context to inform decisions.
  • Communicate complex topics clearly to senior leaders.
  • Thrive in ambiguity, influence without authority, and create structure and accountability across teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • 7 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 4 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex digital initiatives from opportunity identification through execution, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop deep understanding of business customers, journeys, pain points, and unmet needs.
  • Translate customer and commercial needs into clear requirements, priorities, success measures, and technology solutions.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data & Analytics to influence roadmaps and solutions.
  • Establish ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, and accountability across cross-functional initiatives.
  • Build business cases articulating customer impact, business value, priorities, and trade-offs.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Operations to drive readiness and adoption.
  • Lead through influence, creating alignment and delivering outcomes across teams.
