About the Role: We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Technical Operations Strategy on the newly formed Technical Operations Strategy team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Director, Technical Operations Strategy, you’ll build from the ground up, work across manufacturing, supply chain, and Product Development (CMC Small Molecule, Large Molecule and Gene Therapy) to identify where strategic clarity is needed and go deliver it.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree along with 5 years of experience in roles that required structured thinking, independent problem solving, and clear communication of complex ideas or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in strategy, business operations, project management, supply chain, or analytical functions within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated ability to take an ambiguous problem, structure it, and deliver a clear recommendation.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to build scenarios, assess risk, and support decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable operating without a large team or established infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Experience in a strategy consulting, internal strategy, or business operations role, whether at a consulting firm or inside a pharma or biotech company
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk, business continuity, or manufacturing network strategy
  • Exposure to late-stage clinical or commercial launch planning in a regulated environment
  • Experience supporting a portfolio of programs with shared dependencies, including complex modalities such as gene therapy
  • Background in process improvement, operational excellence, or Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • PMP or equivalent project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Define and advance the organization's most pressing strategic priorities in collaboration with Technical Operations leadership and functional leaders.
  • Analyze complex, cross-functional questions, structure them clearly, and provide a strategic point of view.
  • Support manufacturing network decisions by developing scenarios, evaluating trade-offs, and informing leadership about the long-term implications of site, supplier, and internal versus external manufacturing choices.
  • Build and maintain a clear picture of supply risk across the portfolio, identifying vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies and continuity plans.
  • Contribute to Product Development (CMC Small Molecule, Large Molecule and Gene Therapy) strategy by ensuring early product development decisions and their downstream implications are considered.
  • Support commercial readiness and launch planning by embedding supply continuity requirements early across the portfolio.
  • Build and leverage digital tools and data platforms to develop analytical models, dynamic dashboards, and live data integrations.
  • Develop clear, concise materials to aid leadership in prioritization, escalation, and decision-making.
  • Build relationships across Technical Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Commercial, and with external partners.
  • Undertake work that does not fit neatly into existing roles and contribute to defining the group's value.
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as needed.
