About The Position

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting to lead the Company’s technical accounting, REIT compliance, and support external financial reporting functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while supporting complex transactions, investor requirements, and the Company’s REIT readiness initiatives. This role will report to the Controller and work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Capital Markets, Investor Relations, and cross-functionally across the organization. Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% for company gatherings or for site visits. Location: Denver, CO (hybrid in-office role) Compensation: $150,000 - $185,000 (Offers Bonus)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 7–10+ years of experience:
  • Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred)
  • Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with REIT compliance, structuring, or reporting
  • Experience in infrastructure, real estate, or data center environments
  • Familiarity with: Real estate accounting (ASC 970) Lease structuring and tenant improvement accounting Capital-intensive project accounting environments
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Oversee the preparation of footnote disclosures, including complex and non-routine transactions
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting across entities, projects, and joint ventures
  • Establish scalable reporting processes in advance of ERP implementation
  • Own US GAAP & REIT external reporting deliverables for: Auditors Lenders Investors External Advisors
  • Lead research and documentation under U.S. GAAP, including: a. Revenue recognition (ASC 842 & 606) b. Consolidation (ASC 810) c. Debt and equity (ASC 470, ASC 480) d. Real Estate General (ASC 970) e. Drafting and reviewing technical accounting memos and establishing company policy f. Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions and development activities
  • Own REIT compliance processes, including: a. Income and asset testing (75% / 95%) i. Support revenue and asset classification analyses (rent vs. service; real property vs. non-qualifying assets) b. Oversee real property analysis under 26 CFR § 1.856-10 c. Review REIT compliance packages and supporting documentation d. Partner with external tax advisors on compliance
  • Audit, Lender & Investor Interface a. Serve as a point of contact for external auditors for financial reporting b. Assist in responses to audit, diligence, and investor inquiries c. When requested alignment between reported financials and external communications
  • ERP & Process Buildout a. Partner with the Senior Manager of Financial Systems to design financial reporting and technical accounting processes within ERP b. Ensure systems capture required data for: i. Financial reporting ii. REIT compliance c. Strengthen internal controls and documentation
  • Leadership a. Manage and develop accounting staff b. Review work of Senior Accountant(s) and ensure quality of outputs c. Act as subject matter expert across Accounting and Finance
