About The Position

Axon is hiring a Senior Manager, Tax Technology to own and evolve tax data management, reporting, and systems integration across its tax technology stack. The role manages the tax data mart in Snowflake, including SQL logic, table joins, and promotion of data from silver to gold layers, and defines a data strategy for tax reporting. It builds and maintains reporting layers that support accurate and consistent data between D365, Salesforce, Vertex O Series, and Sigma dashboards. The role also leads e-invoicing enablement and system configuration, supports Vertex O Series administration and migration, and uses AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows, documentation, research, and productivity. The position partners across Tax, Finance, IT, and Business Systems, translating business and tax requirements into technical solutions and explaining technical constraints in actionable terms. It brings project management discipline to cross-functional initiatives, including those with shifting requirements, and supports global tax operations across manufacturing and SaaS business models. The role also supports reporting, testing, documentation, and change management for tax technology initiatives, including Alteryx workflows.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, systems/business analysis, tax technology, or finance technology.
Intermediate-to-advanced SQL skills, including schema awareness, joins, and troubleshooting data pipeline issues.
Experience building or maintaining a data mart or reporting layer.
Experience with Sigma or a similar BI tool, including dashboard development, administration, or both.
Systems integration knowledge across ERP, CRM, or tax platforms.
Working knowledge of sales order-to-cash processes and tax calculation concepts.
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced organization.
Dynamic, self-directed team player with the aptitude to quickly learn new and emerging software, tax rules, and legislation.
Systems architecture and problem-solving mindset.

Nice To Haves

A senior data analyst or systems analyst background.
Snowflake experience.
Experience with D365, Salesforce, and Vertex O Series or similar platforms.
E-invoicing experience.
Alteryx experience.
Familiarity with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude; active use is preferred.
Sales or indirect tax experience.
Complementary experience across the broader tax and finance technology stack.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the tax data mart in Snowflake, including SQL logic, table joins, and promotion of data from silver to gold layers.
Define a clear data strategy for tax reporting.
Build and maintain reporting layers that keep data accurate and consistent between D365, Salesforce, Vertex O Series, and Sigma dashboards.
Own systems integration across the tax technology stack and ensure data flows cleanly between platforms.
Lead e-invoicing enablement and related system configuration.
Support Vertex O Series administration, configuration, and migration workstreams.
Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows, documentation, research, and team productivity.
Support reporting, testing, documentation, and change management for tax technology initiatives, including Alteryx workflows.
Build relationships and serve as a cross-functional partner to Tax, Finance, IT, and Business Systems.
Translate business and tax requirements into technical solutions and explain technical constraints in terms stakeholders can act on.
Apply project management discipline to cross-functional initiatives with unclear or shifting requirements.
Support global tax operations across international manufacturing and SaaS business models.
