About The Position

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain to join our team. In this role, you will lead a high-performing planning team and ensure effective scheduling processes for successful site operations. You will develop systems to monitor performance, manage capacity planning, and oversee the Sales & Operations Planning cycle. This position plays a key role in aligning production schedules with business goals and ensuring inventory levels meet customer and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge in a relevant field and 8-10 years of scientific or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience in dealing with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and associated regulations.
  • 10-12 years of supply chain or logistics experience with progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a production environment.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience and 3-5 years of experience in regulatory audits, including DEA and associated regulations.
  • Experience hosting and leading client and internal inspections, including preparation, management, and follow-up for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or APICS certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent‑sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning team, including recruitment, development, coaching, mentoring, and retention of team members.
  • Maintain effective planning and scheduling processes to ensure site operations are forecasted and positioned for success.
  • Develop systems to make gaps between plan and actual performance visible to the organization.
  • Create and monitor capacity planning tools for short-, mid-, and long-term needs to meet forecasted demand.
  • Manage the Sales & Operations Planning cycle to develop achievable operating plans and production schedules aligned with financial and performance goals.
  • Oversee the development of schedules for machines, personnel, and materials, execute plans, and make results visible.
  • Participate in daily production meetings.
  • Manage inventory levels to support business objectives, manufacturing requirements, and customer needs.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and development for direct and indirect reports.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
