Requirements

  • 8+ years of end-to-end supply chain and warehouse operations experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role leading multi-site or multi-shift warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrated experience running warehouses inside a manufacturing environment where chain-of-custody, material traceability, and production support are mission-critical.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing lean warehouse operations — 5S, visual management, standardized work, value stream mapping, and KPI-driven management systems.
  • Expert-level competency in inventory control: cycle counting design, accuracy metrics, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Netsuite), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience implementing a new WMS or major ERP module is required.
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable with data, dashboards, and driving decisions through metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse warehouse teams across multiple sites.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or ISO/AS/TS standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels (FTEs to VP).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Operations).
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
  • Experience leading warehouses with RFID, barcode, or automated traceability systems.
  • Multi-national warehouse leadership experience (US + international sites).

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for warehouse operations across all global locations, establishing and enforcing a unified global operating model: standardized SOPs, chain-of-custody protocols, material flow principles, and shift handoff procedures.
  • Conduct assessments at all sites and build prioritized improvement roadmaps for each location.
  • Manage the end-to-end flow of materials, from receiving to point-of-use or shipment, implementing initiatives to reduce costs and waste.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and storage systems to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance across locations
  • Implement and enforce rigorous chain-of-custody controls for all inbound, in-process, and outbound materials with zero tolerance for material loss, misidentification, or unauthorized access.
  • Develop and oversee robust inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, and discrepancy reconciliation.
  • Lead efforts to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence through accurate data and forecasting support.
  • Co-own the evaluation, selection, and full deployment of a best-in-class Warehouse Management System (WMS); this is a primary Year 1 deliverable.
  • Introduce warehouse automation, RFID, barcode, or other traceability technologies where ROI is clear.
  • Build a high-performance culture grounded in safety, accountability, ownership, pride in operational excellence and continuous improvement at all levels of the warehouse team from FTEs to Managers.
  • Establish, monitor, report and continuously improve warehouse KPIs: fill rate, dock-to-stock time, inventory accuracy, OTD, cost per unit handled, and labor productivity.
  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Demand Planning, and Finance to align on material needs, inventory levels, and cost controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to boost supply chain performance.
  • Manage the departmental budget, focusing on expense control and cost-saving opportunities.
