About The Position

The Strategy and Execution Senior Manager role within EY-Parthenon is crucial for making informed decisions in competitive business environments. This role involves working on high-profile transactions and integration mandates, utilizing leading business tools and methodologies to serve sophisticated clients. The position offers opportunities for technical skill development and fostering a growth mindset to become a transformative business leader. Senior Managers lead project teams, address strategic challenges, define transaction strategies, set team direction, and ensure delivery of outcomes for engagements such as pre-deal due diligence and post-deal integration. They also drive business development, market development, thought leadership, and foster client partnerships. The role requires managing, mentoring, and developing diverse project teams, fostering employee engagement, and managing client relationships with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, analytical, logical thinkers with a passion for Strategy and Transaction Services and a very strong attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or deadlines in support of client goals.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, PMP and CMC) and / or advanced graduate degree in business, e.g., MBA, or related programs such as Master’s in Finance / Accounting with outstanding academic achievement from a top academic institution.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in professional services or related fields, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex transactions.
  • Proven track record of managing projects, particularly in diligence / integration / divestiture space.
  • Proven track record managing teams on multiple concurrent projects and deadlines, providing direction to team members, and overseeing engagement(s) scope, resources and financials.
  • Proven track record of developing long-lasting business relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills to clients at all organization levels, including executive, VP, director, and operational management.
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including executives and boards.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and process improvement is considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Experience in coaching and guiding people to develop capabilities and skills to grow both professionally and personally.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the US (must be authorized to work in Canada).

Nice To Haves

  • Management consulting experience is a pre-requisite
  • Experience in audit, assurance, or related fields is considered an asset
  • Experience related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture transactions; solid understanding of integrations and separations, due diligence
  • Experience working in transactions with private equity, or strategic acquirers / sellers
