About The Position

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for an 18-month duration based position Senior Manager, Strategic Projects & Portfolio supporting the Global Customer Solutions – Americas organization. This role will serve as a strategic partner to the Americas leadership team while leading critical cross-functional programs that advance customer experience, operational excellence, process harmonization, digital transformation, and business performance across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The position will be located onsite/hybrid at a designated Johnson & Johnson location. This position combines enterprise project leadership with Chief of Staff responsibilities. The individual will lead the planning and execution of strategic initiatives, establish effective governance and decision-making processes, coordinate leadership priorities, and ensure that milestones, communications, risks, resources, and financial commitments are actively managed. The role will act as a connector across Global Customer Solutions, Commercial, Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, Human Resources, and other partners. The successful candidate will be highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating with senior leaders in a complex matrix. This person will combine disciplined execution with sound judgment, proactive problem-solving, executive communication, and the ability to translate ambiguous challenges into clear choices, aligned actions, and measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Project or program management, supply chain, customer solutions, business operations, strategy, or organizational transformation experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect strategy, operations, customer priorities, resources, and financial implications.
  • Exceptional organizational, facilitation, written communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, act decisively with incomplete information, and drive accountability across organizational levels.
  • Track record of managing multiple priorities, navigating ambiguity, and maintaining attention to both strategic outcomes and execution details.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and other project, portfolio, collaboration, and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • A focused degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience supporting a senior leadership team or serving in a Chief of Staff, strategy, business operations, transformation, or portfolio-management capacity.
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain and customer-facing operational interdependencies.
  • Experience working across the United States, Canada, and Latin America or within a global, multi-country environment.
  • Project-management certification or demonstrated mastery of established project-management methodologies.
  • Financial acumen and experience tracking business cases, budgets, benefits, and value realization.
  • Experience leading organizational change, communications, and adoption activities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Global Customer Solutions – Americas leader and leadership team to translate strategy into an integrated operating agenda, priorities, goals, and execution plans.
  • Drive the leadership operating rhythm, including agenda planning, business reviews, decision forums, priority tracking, and follow-through on commitments.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, presentations, talking points, and decision materials that synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Connect work across countries and functions, surface interdependencies, and ensure alignment among regional and global stakeholders.
  • Provide objective decision support through option analysis, scenario planning, data synthesis, and structured recommendations.
  • Anticipate issues requiring leadership attention, facilitate timely escalation, and maintain focus on the highest-value priorities.
  • Support organizational effectiveness, change adoption, talent priorities, employee engagement, and leadership communications as needed.
  • Maintain an integrated portfolio of strategic initiatives, including portfolio roadmaps, sequencing, and dependencies requirements.
  • Establish a process for project intake, evaluation, prioritization, approval, continuation, and closure.
  • With limited direction, lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from charter and scope definition through implementation, value realization, and closeout.
  • Drive accountability for timely, high-quality delivery within agreed scope and spend; intervene and escalate when outcomes are at risk.
  • Monitor portfolio health and recommend when initiatives should be accelerated, paused, re-scoped, combined, or stopped.
  • Maintain accurate dashboards, roadmaps, action logs, risk registers, decision logs, and executive updates that provide a clear view of progress and required actions.
  • Identify emerging risks, issues, and dependencies early; develop contingencies and mitigation plans with accountable owners.
  • Track project budgets and actuals, resource requirements, benefits, and key performance indicators in applicable systems of record.
  • Lead prioritization, option analysis, and scenario planning to support informed and timely decisions.
  • Ensure consistent use of applicable project standards, frameworks, methodologies, tools, and templates.
  • Analyze performance and business insights to identify opportunities for simplification, productivity, improved customer experience, and continuous improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships across Americas countries, functions, and global teams, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Facilitate leadership meetings, project working sessions, workshops, and stakeholder forums with clear objectives, decisions, and actions.
  • Develop concise communications, presentations, and change plans tailored to executive, functional, and employee audiences.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and change-readiness activities to support adoption and sustained results.
  • Make complex topics simple, connect decisions to business and customer impact, and promote transparency across the organization.
