About The Position

The Senior Manager of Store Space Design leads the strategic planning and execution of store remodels and format initiatives. This role is crucial for driving sales growth, enhancing profitability, and elevating the customer experience by shaping the physical retail environment to align with business goals and customer expectations. The position involves defining project scope, collaborating cross-functionally, conducting in-store analysis, managing resources, optimizing design with tools, leading a team, and engaging with senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 5-7 Years of Retail planning and design
  • Revit/AutoCAD experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Bluebeam)
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning and data analytics
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, and project management
  • Understanding of Gen AI
  • Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

  • Define and refine the scope of remodel and format projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Use store templates and data-driven insights to guide decision-making and prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
  • Partner with Format Team, merchandising, operations, real estate, and other key stakeholders to understand project scope and translate them into actionable design plans. Facilitate alignment across teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Lead in-store assessments to evaluate layout effectiveness, operational flow, and customer engagement. Use findings to inform store layout and design recommendations and optimize space utilization.
  • Oversee in house team of planners and collaboration with design partners, managing timelines, and deliverables. Ensure external resources are leveraged effectively to support large-scale projects.
  • Utilize space planning tools and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable recommendations to enhance store layouts and maximize productivity.
  • Inspire and guide team members to adopt best practices in design and planning. Prioritize workload, foster collaboration, and promote continuous learning and innovation.
  • Present strategic proposals and project plans to senior leadership, securing buy-in and support for key initiatives. Communicate clearly and persuasively to influence decision-making.
