About The Position

As the Senior Manager of Solutions Architecture for Americas at Cohere, you will lead the US & Canada commercial Solutions Architecture team, helping enterprise customers adopt agentic AI at scale while driving commercial success. You will be responsible for building a high-performing team of Solutions Architects, establishing repeatable solution-selling and delivery practices, and partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to win strategic enterprise opportunities. In this leadership role, you will combine technical credibility, consulting discipline, and commercial acumen to help customers solve complex business problems while shaping Cohere's enterprise AI strategy.

Requirements

8+ years in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Enterprise Architecture, with 5+ years leading customer-facing technical teams.
Proven experience hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing Solutions Architecture or Solutions Engineering teams, with a track record of building or transforming organizations.
Experience leading complex enterprise solution engagements, developing business cases, implementation plans, and executive-ready solution recommendations.
Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, including LLMs, agentic AI, enterprise integrations, cloud platforms, hybrid deployments, security, and governance.
Demonstrated ability to partner with enterprise Sales organizations, influence strategic deals, and articulate business value to executive stakeholders.
Exceptional executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
Experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions in complex, regulated, or large-scale environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and Scale the Team: Build, coach, and develop a high-performing Solutions Architecture organization across the US & Canada, raising the bar through hiring, mentorship, and operational excellence.
Drive Revenue Growth: Partner with Sales to develop and execute technical sales strategies that accelerate enterprise adoption and contribute directly to revenue growth.
Build Repeatable Solution Practices: Establish scalable solution-selling methodologies, industry playbooks, executive narratives, business cases, and technical delivery frameworks that improve consistency and win rates.
Own Strategic Customer Engagements: Lead technical engagements with enterprise customers, serving as a trusted advisor to executive and technical stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
Architect Enterprise AI Solutions: Guide customers in designing secure, scalable, production-ready agentic AI solutions across cloud, hybrid, VPC, and on-premises environments.
Shape Product Direction: Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate customer feedback and market needs into platform improvements and roadmap priorities.
Optimize Technical Sales Execution: Continuously improve technical sales processes, customer onboarding, and solution delivery practices to maximize team effectiveness and customer outcomes.
Lead and develop the Americas commercial Solutions Architecture team through coaching, hiring, performance management, and career development.
Partner with Sales to pursue and close strategic enterprise opportunities across industries including financial services, healthcare, energy, and other key verticals.
Lead executive workshops, discovery sessions, solution presentations, and technical deep dives with C-suite and senior customer stakeholders.
Develop business cases, solution architectures, implementation roadmaps, and technical proposals that align customer objectives with Cohere's platform.
Guide customers through the deployment of enterprise AI solutions, ensuring scalability, security, governance, and operational readiness.
Create repeatable solution assets, industry playbooks, and best practices that enable the team to consistently deliver high-quality customer engagements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales to ensure alignment between customer needs and platform evolution.
Serve as the voice of the field by capturing customer feedback and competitive insights that influence product strategy.
Track and report on key operational and commercial metrics, including technical win rates, pipeline health, and team performance.
