About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager (Level 6). The ideal candidate will manage a team of software engineers providing architecture and development of next-generation radio application software. This role blends advanced embedded systems engineering with cutting-edge AI-driven development practices along with Engineering Manager Duties. Candidate must influence architectural decisions that balance immediate program needs with future scalability, champion the adoption of next-generation AI tools across the engineering organization and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to executive leadership on complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

Ability to evaluate high-level system design, scalable architecture, and technical risk.
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps lifecycles, automated testing frameworks, and security best practices.
Capability to broker consensus on major technology choices and settle technical deadlocks between senior individual contributors.

Responsibilities

High-level technical judgment to evaluate system reliability, scalability, security, and long-term technical debt.
Ability to guide engineering best practices, influence technical strategies, and offer constructive feedback on design docs.
Experience managing operational risks, and incident response structures for large-scale platforms.
Balance engineering excellence with business speed, knowing when to push for a release versus when to refactor.
