About the team: The international last mile engineering team delivers scalable, high-performance software solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Focused on automation and continuous optimization, the team designs, develops, and maintains critical business capabilities with an emphasis on solution design, software development, and DevOps best practices. Collaborating closely, members ensure reliable system performance and measurable growth. This team fosters technical excellence and proactive problem-solving to meet evolving business needs while upholding high standards of quality and performance in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading platform engineering and software development lifecycle across multiple teams.
- Proven expertise in DevOps architecture, CI/CD practices, and cloud financial management to optimize delivery and costs.
- Strong skills in project and stakeholder management, ensuring alignment with strategic roadmaps and milestone tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to guide architectural reviews and system design for scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
- Proficiency in integrating platform technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products.
- Commitment to mentoring engineers, fostering technical excellence, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to manage complex initiatives and build effective partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience.

- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
- Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining in creating accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
- Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure development.
- Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams, championing DevOps architecture and CI/CD practices.
- Implement cloud cost optimization and enhance automation, telemetry, and tooling to improve efficiency.
- Mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions, and promote technical quality and compliance.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to align priorities and unblock progress.
- Establish and track operational metrics to guide continuous improvement and ensure high system availability.
