The Senior Manager, Software Engineering will explore relevant products/solutions to address business/technical needs, assess gaps, and classify requirements. This role involves anticipating solution risks, contributing to user stories, and assisting in the design of solutions that ensure processes/applications work in tandem. The manager will evaluate trade-offs, convert High-Level Design (HLD) to detailed design, and create/configure minimalistic code to meet business and non-functional requirements. They will also assist in selecting appropriate languages, development standards, and tools, and take the initiative to learn new coding languages and frameworks. Responsibilities include building automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, and other processes, implementing telemetry features, ensuring security policy adherence, mapping customer requirements to testing objectives, identifying and creating test cases, executing various types of testing, and tracking/analyzing defects. The role also involves troubleshooting performance and availability bottlenecks, conducting complex maintenance procedures, monitoring application performance, evaluating change requests, and monitoring project progress against milestones. The Senior Manager will provide inputs to stakeholders regarding schedule progress, health, issues/risks, and key dependencies, and ensure adherence to the CI/CD process. Additionally, they will assist in decomposing product architecture, defining architectural specifications, applying architectural patterns, and defining the architecture blueprint for components. The role requires analyzing system performance impacting reliability, operability, performance efficiency, and security. This position supervises 6 associates: 2 Software Engineer IIIs, 2 Senior Software Engineers, and 2 Staff Software Engineers.
