About The Position

Pebl is seeking a hands-on engineering leader for its Growth organization. The Senior Manager will lead a high-impact team delivering customer-facing product initiatives focused on user acquisition, activation, or retention. The role combines technical leadership and active participation in coding, code review, and architecture with responsibility for building scalable, reliable, and extensible systems using React, TypeScript, and AWS. The manager will advance an AI-native engineering approach by integrating tools such as Claude Code and other LLM harnesses into the team’s daily development workflow. In partnership with product management and data teams, the role will define a technical roadmap aligned with growth goals, develop engineers through recruiting and mentorship, and uphold observability, stability, and quality standards. The position includes in-person collaboration at Pebl’s Palo Alto office Monday through Wednesday.

Requirements

At least 5 years of formal engineering management experience leading a team of engineers.
Proven full-stack development expertise, specifically with React, TypeScript, and AWS, such as Lambda, ECS, and RDS.
Demonstrated ability to use LLM-integrated agents, specifically Claude Code, to improve software development lifecycle speed and code quality.
Track record of delivering customer-facing SaaS products focused on metrics-driven growth, conversion, and user experience.
Ability to explain complex technical and AI-related trade-offs as actionable plans for leadership and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical strategy for a team in the Growth organization and participate in the development lifecycle by coding, reviewing, and architecting solutions.
Promote an AI-first engineering culture, integrating Claude Code and other LLM harnesses into daily workflows to accelerate experimentation and product velocity.
Partner with product management and data teams to define the technical roadmap for acquisition and retention goals.
Ensure the team builds modern, scalable architecture using React, TypeScript, and AWS.
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-potential engineers, balancing human-led mentorship with AI-augmented professional development.
Maintain high standards for observability and stability, and ensure experiments and product features meet rigorous quality benchmarks.
Foster in-person collaboration at the Palo Alto office Monday through Wednesday to build team cohesion and support cross-functional problem solving.
