Requirements

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 10 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the Aerospace/Defense Industry. In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the Aerospace/Defense Industry.
  • Must possess at least 4 years of experience with: DO-178C certification.
  • Must possess at least 4 years of experience leading or contributing to avionics systems/software life-cycle activities, including requirements, architecture, design, model-based development, coding, integration, verification and validation, and system testing.
  • Must possess at least 4 years of experience working in or leading teams developing real-time embedded software applications using high-level programming languages such as C or C++.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of proven experience in project planning and execution leadership for moderate- to large-sized teams, delivering on cost, schedule, scope, and quality commitments.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Train, instruct, and provide technical guidance to employees to help them diagnose and solve problems and also build capabilities.
  • Interface with functional departments in preparing work schedules to ensure coordination of activities.
  • Develop budgets and estimates labor and material costs to ensure effectiveness of software engineering activities.
  • Establish procedures for addressing problems and make recommendations to management to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of software engineering activities.
  • Assign work and ensure that completed work meets established engineering and manufacturing schedules and satisfies customer requirements.
