About The Position

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. This role oversees shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure development while driving full lifecycle management across multiple teams. The position champions Application Delivery, DevOps practices, cloud cost optimization, and technical excellence to deliver high-availability systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the role guides architectural decisions, mentors engineers, and manages complex initiatives to achieve business goals with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency. About the team: The Data Ventures team advances supplier-facing analytics by integrating data engineering, product intelligence, and supplier experience. They develop a centralized, role-aware intelligence platform delivering real-time insights into key business metrics. Their solutions enable dynamic, self-serve analytics and replace offline workflows with AI-driven forecasting and recommendations. Focused on scalable data products, the team directly influences supplier health and supply chain performance. This collaborative environment prioritizes innovation, technical excellence, and delivering actionable insights that empower suppliers to make informed decisions efficiently.

Requirements

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
  • Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure, and reusable development.
  • Drive full software development lifecycle, promoting DevOps architecture, CI/CD practices, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Guide architectural reviews and system design decisions to ensure maintainability, extensibility, and performance.
  • Mentor engineers and managers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to define priorities, unblock progress, and align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Establish and track operational and engineering metrics to assess platform success and guide enhancements.
