About The Position

This role involves managing and overseeing complex software development initiatives, including web services, software deployment, and partner framework integrations. The Senior Manager will establish project objectives, technical policies, procedures, roadmaps, and work plans, delegating tasks to team members. A key responsibility is leading Agile sprint teams to deliver software features aligned with project requirements and organizational goals. The position also requires overseeing system and software architecture, system requirements, and technical design. A significant focus will be on modernizing transaction monitoring and sanction screening systems for high-volume payment, AML, and foreign exchange operations. The role demands evaluating and defining methods for new project assignments, ensuring effective execution. Additionally, it involves contributing to full-cycle web application and middleware development, from analysis to maintenance, and overseeing database data retrieval strategies and migration plans for system upgrades and integrations. This position offers 100% remote work from anywhere in the U.S.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications or related field plus 8 years of experience in any related occupation, OR a Master’s Degree plus 6 years of experience in any related occupation.
Experience with project planning tools such as Smart Sheet.
Experience with database design using SQL and NoSQL.
Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Experience with C#, .Net core.
Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.
Experience with Analytics tools such as Business Object, QlikView, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Experience with Test-driven development and CI/CD software engineering practices.
Experience with Waterfall, SCRUM, and Agile-based methodologies, practices and tools.
Experience with software development life-cycle tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience with code version control systems such as GIT or SVN.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee complex software development initiatives, coordinating multiple development efforts supporting web services, software deployment, and partner framework integrations.
Establish project objectives, technical policies, procedures, roadmaps, and work plans, and delegate tasks to project team members.
Lead Agile sprint teams in planning, prioritizing, and delivering software features in alignment with project requirements and organizational goals.
Oversee system and software architecture development, system requirements, and technical design activities.
Direct modernization efforts for transaction monitoring and sanction screening systems by designing and implementing models and standardized procedures for high-volume payment, AML, and foreign exchange operations.
Evaluate, adapt, and define methods and procedures for new project assignments, ensuring effective execution across teams.
Contribute to full-cycle web application and middleware development, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Oversee database data retrieval strategies and develop data migration plans to support system upgrades and integrations.
