Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Transactions

QXO•Seattle, WA
•$200,000 - $275,000•Hybrid

About The Position

QXO is building the technology platform for the building products distribution industry, and we are making real investments in technology to streamline our business and better serve our customers in the distribution space. The Transactions organization owns the systems customers touch when they choose us, pay us, and grow with us: retention programs, customer payment mechanisms, and account onboarding. When these systems work, revenue moves. When they do not, our customers feel it immediately. We are hiring a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead multiple squads in this space. You will sit with business leaders to shape the problem, set the roadmap for your squads, and make the calls on sequencing and tradeoffs rather than waiting for finished requirements to arrive. You will own delivery of new system integrations and features that strip friction out of real business processes, and you will be measured on the business outcomes those systems produce. You will join a technical organization actively evolving its use of AI, and push that work further in your squads. AI has the potential to reduce our waiting, experiment more quickly, and test our ideas at a rate that has historically not been possible. Your job is to expand what your squads can do without waiting on anyone, and to give engineers real ownership of their domains. This role is for an engineering leader who does not shy away from ownership and is ready to bring clarity to problems that are not yet clearly defined. You will set a culture of urgency and high standards, hire people who raise the bar, and hold quality steady as the pace goes up. If you want to decide what matters and see it land with customers in weeks rather than quarters, this is the job.
