We are seeking a Full Stack Engineering Manager to lead engineering initiatives supporting Sales. This role will enable sales associates and leaders with modern technology, insights, and workflow automation capabilities. The ideal candidate will deliver strategic solutions focused on sales enablement, coaching, knowledge management, customer engagement, and operational efficiency across the sales organization. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • At least 4 years of people management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree
  • 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
  • 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
  • 7+ years of people management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead the adoption of AI powered and GenAI solutions to improve associate productivity, streamline business processes, and deliver personalized customer and dealer experiences.
  • Drive experimentation with emerging technologies, including AI agents, intelligent search, automation, and data driven decision making to accelerate business outcomes.
  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed Microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
  • Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
