About The Position

This role involves leading platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones. The position oversees shared infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks (e.g., CI/CD, SDKs, model runtimes, feature stores) that support scalable, reusable, and secure development. The Senior Manager will guide architectural reviews and system design decisions to ensure maintainability, extensibility, and performance across services, and champion system integration leadership for seamless interoperability and consistency across platforms. The role drives the full software development lifecycle—including coding, testing, deployment, observability, and ongoing maintenance—across multiple teams, championing DevOps architecture and CI/CD practices. It also involves implementing cloud cost optimization strategies and reducing friction/toil through automation, telemetry, and tooling enhancements, while owning operational delivery and technical excellence. The Senior Manager will oversee the design and delivery of robust, AI-integrated software systems serving millions of customers and associates, collaborating with product, data science, and engineering teams to build AI/ML-enabled features, intelligent automation, and agentic AI systems. Integration of ML components and AI agents using languages such as Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and TypeScript is expected, leveraging developer tools like GitHub Copilot. Furthermore, the role involves mentoring and developing engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation, guiding engineers and managers through architectural trade-offs, best practices, and career growth opportunities, and ensuring technical quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, defect prevention, and adherence to security and compliance standards. The position owns the execution of complex technical initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals, aligning platform engineering work with broader domain strategies, and managing stakeholder relationships. Finally, it demonstrates technical ownership, sound technical judgment, change agility, and strong collaboration skills, proactively seeking opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
