About The Position

The Capital One Legal Department is looking for a collaborative, experienced attorney to act as a strategic advisor on antitrust matters and competition law across the organization. This position offers the chance to join an exceptional team at a Fortune 100 company frequently recognized as a premier employer in the U.S. The Senior Manager, Senior Counsel role will be primarily responsible for advising business and legal stakeholders on complex antitrust and competition law matters, as well as providing strategic guidance across the enterprise.

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
• At least 6 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm environment, at a government agency, as a military judge advocate, or as in-house counsel

Nice To Haves

• 7+ years of experience in a law firm environment, at a government agency, as a military judge advocate, or as in-house counsel
• 3+ years of experience providing advice and counsel on commercial transactions
• Experience within the payment card or payments industry
• Experience in financial services

Responsibilities

• Providing expert counsel and strategic guidance on antitrust compliance and competition risks
• Developing and implementing antitrust compliance programs, policies, and enterprise-wide training initiatives
• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments in competition law and assessing their impact on the business
• Partnering collaboratively with other internal counsel and business teams across the enterprise
• When necessary, managing and coordinating outside counsel, including management of the delivery of services and cost
