About The Position

The Senior Manager, Security is a critical leadership position that blends field operations with data-driven strategy. This individual will drive security initiatives across North America, partner directly with government agencies and law enforcement, optimize vendor relationships, and build proactive risk mitigation programs all while leveraging analytics to stay ahead of emerging threats. This role demands a versatile leader who can analyze risk trends, coordinate with federal agencies, and direct vendor performance with equal skill. The ideal candidate brings deep operational experience, an analytical mindset, and the executive presence to influence stakeholders at every level of the organization. This position is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive security leadership experience, ideally across multi-site operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct on-site assessments and translate findings into risk models, heat maps, and strategic recommendations.
  • Proven experience managing budgets in excess of $5 million and leading internal investigations.
  • Strong analytical capability. Able to assess large sets of security incident data, identify trends, and develop clear action plans.
  • Effective communicator with the executive presence to engage both frontline teams and C-level leadership.
  • Eligible for Security Sensitive Employee classification under federal transportation guidelines
  • Willing to travel 30–50%

Responsibilities

  • Lead security escalations and serve as the primary point of contact with internal stakeholders and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including TSA and DHS.
  • Conduct field security assessments using site observations and operational risk modeling; oversee audit programs across terminals, bus stops, and corporate facilities.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of third-party security vendors, including budget planning, selection, onboarding, performance optimization, and invoice approval for budgets exceeding $5 million.
  • Collect, analyze, and present security data using dashboards to uncover trends, assess vendor effectiveness, and deliver actionable executive briefings.
  • Develop, maintain, and audit security policies and procedures; oversee security equipment and surveillance systems.
  • Design and deliver security training programs for frontline and corporate employees; develop new market security launch strategies in partnership with Operations and Legal.
  • Lead funded security initiatives through to completion.
  • Lead and participate in security incident investigations in conjunction with Legal, including serving as subject matter expert for litigation support and expert testimony.
