About The Position

At PwC, individuals in business application consulting specialize in optimizing operational efficiency for clients through various business applications. As a Salesforce consulting generalist, this role involves providing consulting services, analyzing client needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilization of Salesforce applications to achieve strategic objectives. As a Solution Architect, the individual will own the end-to-end technical vision for multi-cloud Salesforce implementations, from discovery to post-launch optimization. This includes leading delivery teams, mentoring Salesforce consultants, and acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders. The role also involves growing the practice through leading pursuits, developing proposals, and building client relationships. This position requires a balance of technical depth and consulting leadership, with hands-on involvement in architecture decisions, solution design, and accountability for the quality and scalability of deliverables. It is an ideal platform for those pursuing or holding a CTA certification.

Requirements

  • Possess a broad range of consulting skills and experience across various Salesforce applications
  • Demonstrate technical depth and consulting leadership
  • Experience owning the technical design authority for enterprise Salesforce engagements — defining org strategy, data architecture, integration patterns, and security models from discovery through go-live
  • Experience leading solution architecture across Sales, Service, Experience, Data, Marketing, and Industry Clouds, ensuring designs are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce Well-Architected principles
  • Ability to conduct detailed solution design sessions with clients: gathering requirements, mapping business processes to platform capabilities, identifying gaps, and producing technical design documents
  • Experience designing and governing integration architecture: REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi), Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and enterprise data migration strategies
  • Proficiency in establishing and enforcing DevOps standards for engagement teams: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Copado, Gearset), branching strategies, code review processes, and deployment governance
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of 5–15 consultants (developers, configurators, and analysts) — providing technical coaching, conducting architecture reviews, and supporting career development
  • Ability to serve as the escalation point for complex technical challenges: governor limit issues, large data volume strategies, performance optimization, and cross-cloud dependency management
  • Skill in presenting architecture recommendations to executive stakeholders — translating complex technical trade-offs into business outcomes through clear communication, workshops, and review boards
  • Experience driving business development: respond to RFPs, deliver pre-sales solution presentations, scope and estimate engagements, develop proposals and SOWs, and build executive relationships
  • Ability to conduct architecture assessments and health checks for prospective and existing clients — identifying technical debt, scalability risks, security gaps, and optimization opportunities
  • Capability to define and improve PwC's Salesforce delivery methodology, reference architectures, estimation models, and reusable accelerators based on lessons learned across engagements
  • Pursuing or holding a CTA (Certified Technical Architect) certification
