The Senior Manager, Field Excellence & Operations serves as the primary Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) and field operations partner for the Uro-Oncology and Reproductive Medicine Business Units. The role is responsible for translating commercial strategy into actionable field execution through segmentation, targeting, call plan design, territory alignment, and field performance reporting. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to Business Unit leadership, National Sales leadership, and field management teams, helping ensure field resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities and supported with clear, actionable performance insights. The Senior Manager will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for field force planning and field reporting, while also supporting training and adoption of commercial sales operations tools, including Sales Compass and other field enablement platforms. The role will lead day-to-day engagement with external vendors supporting field excellence deliverables. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical Commercial Operations, Sales Force Effectiveness, Field Operations, Sales Operations, Business Analytics, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting pharmaceutical or specialty sales organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with segmentation, targeting, call plan development, territory alignment, and field force reporting.
  • Experience developing and maintaining field dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical commercial datasets such as sales, activity, prescribing, claims, specialty pharmacy, or other customer-level data sources.
  • Strong ability to translate data and business questions into actionable field recommendations.
  • Experience managing external vendors or consulting partners.
  • Strong communication, presentation, project management, and training skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Business Units, and Analytics without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Oncology, Uro-Oncology, Reproductive Medicine, or specialty pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience supporting product launch, growth-stage brands, or evolving field force models.
  • Experience with Sales Compass or similar sales operations / field enablement platforms.
  • MBA, MS, or other advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Field Excellence and Operations partner for the Uro-Oncology and Reproductive Medicine Business Units.
  • Lead segmentation and targeting initiatives to align field activity with commercial priorities and highest-value customer opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize call plans that support business objectives and brand strategy.
  • Lead territory alignment analyses and provide recommendations to optimize coverage, workload balance, and field execution.
  • Partner with Business Unit and Sales leadership to identify opportunities to improve field productivity and execution effectiveness.
  • Translate business needs and data-driven insights into clear, field-ready recommendations.
  • Own the design, development, and delivery of field performance reporting and dashboards for supported Business Units.
  • Analyze sales, field activity, targeting, and execution data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain field dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Define and monitor key field effectiveness KPIs, including coverage, reach, frequency, call plan adherence, target engagement, and territory-level performance.
  • Provide actionable reporting insights to Business Unit leadership, National Sales leadership, Regional Sales Directors, and field management.
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned to business decision-making needs.
  • Serve as the SME for Sales Compass and other sales operations tools used by the field organization.
  • Develop and deliver training to improve field understanding and adoption of tools, reports, dashboards, and field effectiveness processes.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to identify training needs and support consistent use of field enablement tools.
  • Act as a resource for National Sales leadership, Regional Sales Directors, District Managers, and field representatives on targeting, reporting, and field operations processes.
  • Support communications and change management related to field reporting enhancements, targeting updates, call plan changes, and sales operations tools.
  • Lead day-to-day engagement with external vendors supporting segmentation, targeting, call planning, territory alignment, and field reporting initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into clear vendor deliverables and ensure outputs meet quality, timing, and business expectations.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations, Business Unit stakeholders, Sales leadership, Data & Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to execute field excellence priorities.
  • Coordinate project timelines, stakeholder input, and deliverable review processes for assigned field excellence initiatives.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency, clarity, and field impact.
