Senior Manager-Risk Management
About The Position
The Global Risk & Compliance (GRC) department is responsible for overseeing the company’s compliance, risk-taking, and risk management activities. This includes identifying, managing, and mitigating risks within the company's risk appetite to ensure safe, sound, and compliant operations. GRC establishes the overall risk management framework and ensures legal and regulatory compliance. The product group within Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) focuses on developing and implementing innovative technology solutions for GRC, owning the vision and roadmap for capabilities, platforms, and modernization. This stakeholder-facing role involves process vision and roadmap, customer experience, business architecture, capturing and grooming feature requirements, prioritization, status tracking and reporting, and defining process SLAs and controls. The Sr. Product Manager reports to the Director of Product Management and leads the transformation of risk systems, playing a key role in detailing the blueprint and collaborating with stakeholders in Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM), American Express Technologies (AET), and external experts to design and oversee the execution of solutions.

Responsibilities
- Oversees the company’s compliance, risk-taking and risk management activities.
- Ensures comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of risks within the Company’s risk appetite.
- Ensures the company operates in a safe, sound and fully compliant manner within all applicable regulatory expectations.
- Creates and maintains the overall risk management framework while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Drives the company’s goals of growth and progress by creating a culture of awareness and proactivity around regulatory matters.
- Partners closely with business units across the enterprise to ensure maximum value delivery to shareholders and customers efficiently and effectively.
- Builds and implements innovative technology solutions for GRC.
- Owns the vision and roadmap for capabilities, platforms, and modernization efforts.
- Manages process vision and roadmap, customer experience, business architecture, capturing and grooming feature requirements, prioritization, status tracking and reporting, defining process SLAs and controls.
