About The Position

The Senior Manager, RFPs and Patient Acquisition is responsible for driving patient acquisition and business growth through strategic partnerships across long-term care (LTC), primary care, and physician networks. This role focuses on expanding Neighbourly Pharmacy’s national footprint by leading LTC account management, national RFP submissions, primary care partnerships, and physician recruitment initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Rx Growth & Prescriber Strategy, the Senior Manager will play a key role in delivering year-over-year growth in patient volume and strengthening Neighbourly’s position as the pharmacy partner of choice for healthcare providers and organizations across Canada. Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or business development roles.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, healthcare, or related field required; MBA or healthcare-related graduate degree considered an asset.
  • Proven success in, partnership development, RFP submissions and contract wins and Healthcare provider engagement
  • Experience working with LTC, primary care, or institutional healthcare partners preferred
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, including RFPs and provider networks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary relationship lead for LTC partnerships nationally
  • Ensure Neighbourly Pharmacy is meeting the needs of LTC homes as their dispensing pharmacy partner
  • Partner with pharmacy operations teams to optimize service delivery, clinical offerings and operational workflows (eMAR, med management, delivery models)
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships, increase in-home patient count, and improve retention
  • Support onboarding and transition of new LTC homes
  • Lead and coordinate RFP submissions for national and regional opportunities (e.g., provincial health authorities, corrections, LTC groups)
  • Develop and maintain standardized RFP templates and processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key department partners in Finance (pricing and financial modeling), Operations (service delivery model) and Legal (contract terms)
  • Track RFP outcomes and continuously improve win rates
  • Support contract negotiation and implementation post-award
  • Build and maintain relationships with family physicians, clinics, and primary care networks
  • Identify opportunities to align pharmacy services with prescriber needs and patient populations
  • Partner with pharmacy teams to tailor local execution and service offerings
  • Drive prescription growth through strong prescriber engagement and referral pathways
  • Position Neighbourly Pharmacy as a trusted extension of the physician practice
  • Develop and manage partnerships with physician recruitment agencies and networks
  • Identify opportunities to co-locate physicians within or near pharmacy locations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (real estate, operations, leadership) to assess feasibility and structure partnerships
  • Support onboarding and integration of physicians into Neighbourly communities
  • Contribute to strategies that attract and retain physicians in priority markets
  • Identify, analyze, and pursue new business opportunities across LTC, primary care, and physician partnerships
  • Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities aligned with national priorities
  • Support development of regional growth strategies in partnership with Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) and District Directors
  • Ensure initiatives translate into measurable prescription growth at the store level
  • Partner with Regional VPs, District Directors, and Operations leaders to operationalize partnership initiatives
  • Provide regular reporting on Partnership pipeline, RFP submissions and outcomes and LTC and prescriber performance
  • Work with Finance and Business Intelligence teams to track key metrics (Rx growth, revenue, EBITDA contribution)
  • Identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations for optimization
