Requirements

• Experience in revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Experience with monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Experience with external reporting and SEC filings.
• Experience researching and documenting technical accounting matters.
• Experience managing a team of accountants.
• Experience with commission processing and reconciliation.
• Experience resolving discrepancies with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and reporting for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process for revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Support preparation of external reporting deliverables, including schedules for SEC filings and related disclosures.
• Research and document technical accounting matters, drafting memoranda on complex revenue transactions.
• Manage the commissions team to ensure all monthly carrier commission statements are received, processed, and posted accurately and timely.
• Oversee the reconciliation of cash receipts to carrier statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy of commission revenue.
• Partner with external carrier partners and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure strong financial controls.
