About The Position

Pigment is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting & Order-to-Cash to join their team. This role is crucial for internalizing the accounting function and bringing AR and revenue accounting to public-company standards. The successful candidate will own the full AR and revenue accounting cycle for the Group, manage an AR Accountant based in Paris, and report to the Head of Accounting, Tax & Consolidation. This is a hybrid role based in the New York City office, designed for an experienced AR or order-to-cash manager who wants to grow into a Group revenue leadership role.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in accounting or order-to-cash, including 3+ years leading AR, billing, or revenue operations in B2B SaaS or a high-growth scale-up.
  • Deep, hands-on ASC 606 expertise, including owning revenue recognition for real contracts, defending positions with auditors, and explaining them to non-accountants.
  • Proven first-line manager who stays hands-on, including conducting 1:1s, providing structured feedback, performance conversations, and hiring, ideally including remote or cross-time-zone teams.
  • Track record leading cross-functional projects (e.g., billing/ERP implementations, credit policy, audit remediation, close redesign).
  • Strong command of Quote-to-Cash and SaaS metrics (ARR, deferred revenue, DSO, billings).
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with a drive to automate beyond spreadsheets.
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Own Quote-to-Cash for the Group, including contract review, invoicing, collections, and close, ensuring accuracy, speed, and cash impact.
  • Serve as the revenue recognition authority, managing IFRS 15 (ASC 606 equivalent) end-to-end, including performance obligations, SSP, multi-element and multi-year deals, modifications, and technical memos.
  • Run a fast and reliable revenue close, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, contract assets, ARR-to-revenue bridge, and variance analysis with FP&A.
  • Manage receivables to cash globally, owning DSO, aging, dunning, credit policy, and disputes, including managing escalations and external recovery partners.
  • Automate the function by designing and documenting controls, eliminating manual steps, and utilizing Pigment-native workflows and AI, with NetSuite and Salesforce as systems of record.
  • Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and RevOps on structuring, billing terms, and pricing to shape deals before they are signed.
  • Act as the accounting lead for US teams and customers, including managing sales tax alongside the Head of Tax.
