•$150,000 - $250,000•Hybrid

About The Position

This role leads and supports Kroll’s Fund Solutions and Restructuring services from the U.S., with exposure to U.S. and cross-border mandates. The work involves live situations throughout the fund life cycle, helping clients understand their options and implement practical solutions for portfolios that are illiquid, underperforming, nearing the end of their term, or otherwise require active intervention. The position combines rigorous financial and commercial analysis with hands-on execution. Assignments may involve assessing fund and portfolio performance; preparing options and investment papers; supporting fund management transitions; overseeing asset realizations or wind downs; strengthening stakeholder reporting; and coordinating implementation with legal advisers, administrators, auditors, asset managers, and other service providers. Recruitment is flexible at Manager or Senior Manager level. The level will reflect relevant experience, ability to lead mandates and teams, client-handling capability, and commercial contribution. The successful candidate will help grow the Fund Solutions and Restructuring business across U.S. and international markets and collaborate with Kroll colleagues and external professionals on cross-border delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience, including experience relevant to U.S. investment funds; relevance, quality, and depth of experience are more important than tenure alone.
  • Experience in U.S. fund advisory, restructuring, private equity or private credit, investment or portfolio management, transaction services, corporate finance, insolvency, fiduciary services, or another relevant financial discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience analyzing complex financial and operational information, including performance, valuation, liquidity, or cash flow information, and presenting clear conclusions to senior audiences.
  • A track record of managing workstreams, deadlines, and junior colleagues; Senior Manager candidates should also demonstrate independent engagement and client leadership.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written drafting skills and confidence communicating with senior internal and external stakeholders across U.S. and international markets.
  • Commercial judgment and ability to distinguish decisive issues from background complexity.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail.
  • Clear, concise, credible communication and confidence to challenge constructively and make recommendations.
  • Ownership, sound organization, and ability to manage several fast-moving assignments while maintaining control of detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to assess and manage risk, work through ambiguity, and remain effective in challenging situations.
  • Collaborative, low-ego approach and willingness to take responsibility and drive matters forward.
  • Genuine interest in helping build a growing specialist practice, including its delivery capability, market profile, and client relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • A relevant accounting, insolvency, or investment qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, JIEB, or CFA; preferred but not essential when supported by strong relevant experience.
  • U.S. regulatory, insolvency, or investment-fund experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead defined workstreams and, at Senior Manager level, significant assignments or multiple workstreams; set priorities and deliver quality work within agreed scope, timing, and budget.
  • Analyze fund structures, portfolio performance, valuations, liquidity, cash flows, and stakeholder positions; identify material issues affecting value, control, timing, and execution, and develop clear recommendations.
  • Support or lead manager replacement and transition mandates, solvent and insolvent fund wind downs, asset realizations, liquidity and governance work, investment reporting, and other special-situation assignments involving Cayman Islands investment funds.
  • Prepare and review decision-ready materials, including options papers, investment and portfolio reports, board and investor materials, financial analyses, proposals, and implementation plans.
  • Build trusted relationships with fund managers, investors, boards, creditors, financial sponsors, management teams, U.S. legal advisers, registered office and fiduciary providers, administrators, auditors, asset agents, regulators, and other service providers; communicate clearly on complex or sensitive matters.
  • Manage competing priorities, identify risks and dependencies, resolve execution issues where possible, and escalate material matters with practical recommendations.
  • Support management of scope, work in progress, budgets, billing, and profitability; Senior Managers take broader responsibility for engagement economics and resourcing.
  • Direct, coach, and review junior colleagues; provide clear briefs, proportionate oversight, constructive feedback, and development support.
  • Contribute to business growth through market research, opportunity assessment, proposals, pitches, credentials, and development of client and intermediary relationships.
  • Collaborate with Kroll colleagues across Restructuring and other service lines, and with U.S. legal, fiduciary, audit, administration, and regulatory professionals to support mandate delivery.
  • Help clients understand options and implement practical solutions for illiquid, underperforming, near-term-end, or otherwise challenging portfolios.
