Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Manager, Resource Assurance to join our team.  The successful candidate will lead independent technical assurance of Mineral Resource estimates across the portfolio to safeguard geological integrity, manage estimation risk, and support defensible Resource disclosure. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field; or Bachelor of Science degree with equivalent experience required
  • Over fifteen (15) years’ experience in mine geology or exploration providing expert competence required
  • Minimum three (3) years’ in a senior role managing geologists and mining or exploration programs required
  • Proven ability to communicate optimally; both verbally and in writing required
  • Team leader with the ability to work collaboratively within a coordinated and agile multidisciplinary team, regardless of reporting structure required
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision required
  • Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership required

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain global standards for Mineral Resource estimation and classification, ensuring consistent application of corporate standards and alignment with regulatory and disclosure requirements. Drive Mineral Resource Threshold standards, including Resource Range Analyses, and ensure model delivery cadence aligns with portfolio disclosure timelines.
  • Lead independent technical reviews of Mineral Resource estimates across the asset portfolio, evaluating the robustness of geological interpretations, domaining strategies, estimation methodologies, and classification approaches. Ensure estimates supporting major decisions and public disclosure are technically defensible, well-documented, and appropriately validated through structured peer review and assurance processes, including coordination of internal and external reviews.
  • Identify, assess, and manage Resource-related risks by maintaining a Resource risk register that highlights uncertainty, potential bias, and maturity levels across the portfolio. Provide recommendations to reduce uncertainty through targeted drilling, improved modeling approaches, and enhanced data acquisition, and support 5-year plan (5YP) geological confidence forecasting using standardized risk frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with Resource & Reserve Governance and Reporting teams to ensure Resource estimates meet corporate and regulatory requirements, supporting technical review prior to Reserve conversion and public disclosure, and ensuring appropriate integration across geology, metallurgy, mine planning, and exploration to mine geology workflows.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to site geology teams to improve Resource model quality, defensibility, and consistency, assisting with complex geological or estimation challenges and promoting best practices in geological modeling, geostatistics, and estimation workflows.
  • Promote continuous improvement and technical excellence in resource modeling, geostatistics, and geological interpretation, strengthening workflows that enhance model reliability and confidence across the portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Resource Geology specialists within both operations and the assurance team, supporting capability development and advancement of internal expertise in advanced resource estimation practices.
  • Identify and escalate material geological, estimation, and disclosure risks that may impact Resource confidence or disclosure integrity to the Director, Geology, and perform other duties as assigned.
