About The Position
The Senior Manager, Realty Project Management and Design, leads the delivery of multiple remodel and adaptation projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, budgets, and brand standards. This role directs design strategy, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder collaboration to achieve efficient project execution. The position also involves mentoring project management staff, driving process improvements, and providing portfolio-level insights to support capital planning. The successful candidate will foster cross-functional partnerships, manage complex design challenges, and uphold Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement across the realty project portfolio. The team oversees a portfolio of concurrent drone real estate projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand standards, schedules, and approved capital budgets. They develop and manage scopes of work by translating drone requirements into actionable design and construction plans while balancing capital constraints. The team coordinates cross-functional partners to drive project execution, monitors progress, and addresses challenges proactively. Focused on delivering quality outcomes, they implement process improvements and maintain standardized governance practices. This group plays a key role in advancing project delivery efficiency and supporting strategic capital planning within the Realty Project Management function.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing multiple concurrent realty projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and aligned with business objectives.
- Proven ability to develop and manage project scopes, translating business needs into actionable design and construction plans.
- Strong knowledge of design management, regulatory compliance, and permitting processes across local and state jurisdictions.
- Expertise in coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to drive project alignment and execution.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring project management staff and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior leadership and resolving complex design and permitting challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 3 years’ experience in architecture, construction management, engineering, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in architecture, construction management, engineering, or related area.
