About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Project Management to lead special projects in our Network Risk Operations team within the Global Payment Network. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. Network Risk Operation is a horizontal services team within the Global Payment Network that is solving some of the division’s biggest challenges by building scalable, globally coordinated programs, driving operational excellence to optimize the business, providing risk intelligence that informs strategy, and enabling cross-division initiatives. In addition to strong project management and organizational skills, a successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and presentation skills to manage, inform, and influence outcomes. This role includes being a key thought partner to senior leadership; facilitating strategic planning, prioritization and reporting for the team; and owning high-priority bodies of work that shape and strategically position the organization. Requirements

  • Demonstrate excellent project management, with the ability to thrive in gray space and quickly create structure
  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills, essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
  • Have an eye for detail and a love for building/optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Have passion for coaching and developing associates
  • Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
  • Be confident, respectful, and articulate when registering dissenting opinions with colleagues and senior management
  • Operate with discretion when handling highly sensitive issues
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 6 Years of Program or Project Management experience
  • At least 4 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 4 years of experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder communications
  • At least 4 years of experience driving problem resolution and cross-organizational decision-making

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of project management experience within financial services
  • At least 1 year of experience in management consulting
  • At least 2 years of people management experience

Responsibilities

  • Leading high-priority special projects that provide strategic support to the Head of Network Risk Operations and the senior leadership team
  • Identifying and analyzing unstructured business challenges, leveraging and translating data into compelling stories to drive action and creating decision-ready recommendations for leadership
  • Facilitating and managing strategic planning routines and leadership operating rhythms to set and deliver on a high-impact agenda
  • Partnering cross-functionally with leadership and stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership
  • Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
