About The Position

This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; maintain non- union program; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation security and food safety; manage evaluate and train production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager. This role is responsible for overseeing all four shipping shifts, both shifts within the Box and Supply Room operations, and the Production Planner function to ensure efficient coordination, staffing, and execution across all areas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred.
  • 5 plus years of related industry experience.
  • 5 plus years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility (pork or beef preferred).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HAACP regulations.
  • Standard computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.
  • Leader, problem solver, team player.
  • Excellent safety and attendance records.
  • Ability to work with department heads to meet safety production and quality yields and meet goals.
