About The Position

Disney Entertainment Television (DET) is composed of several leading studios including 20th Television, FX, Disney Branded Television, National Geographic, 20th Television Animation, and Disney Television Animation. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Production Finance (Revenue and Audit) who will be responsible for all billing and audit functions related to the shows. This role is critical to achieving the objectives of the strategic financial transformation initiative focusing on operational efficiencies through automation, use of AI, and the standardization of processes across DET. The ideal candidate is proficient at multitasking, excels in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, adapts quickly to change, brings extensive production experience, and possesses a collaborative mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred or a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Thorough understanding of production accounting processes and procedures
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate and resolve complex issues
  • Extensive production audit experience, with a keen aptitude for reviewing and analyzing production budgets and financial records to ensure accuracy and policy compliance
  • Payroll processing experience in an episodic production environment
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and understanding contractual language
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Entertainment Partners (EP) and Cast & Crew software suites, including Movie Magic Budgeting (MMB), Scenechronize, EP SmartAccounting, Global Vista, PSL, SmartStart, Start+, SmartTime, Hours+, Showbiz Timecards, Cashet
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adept at fostering and maintaining collaborative relationships across departments
  • Ability to travel based on business needs
  • Previous experience leading other more junior level employees

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for revenue billing, collections, and reserves analysis
  • Oversee and manage production audits
  • Supervise, motivate, and support direct reports
  • Independently resolve a variety of day-to-day issues, escalating to leadership as appropriate
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of physical production, SOX compliance, and production-related technology
  • Review and validate financial reports and documentation related to productions
  • Collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders, including production teams, Controllership, Business Affairs, Legal, and enterprise partners
  • Work independently on self-directed and assigned tasks under moderate direction and supervision
  • Willingness and ability to perform miscellaneous duties, with availability for both local and non-local travel
