About The Position

A global nonprofit that provides trusted biological materials for science and health, ATCC is hiring Senior Manager, Product - Primary & Advanced Models to support Product Management within the Commercial organization. This hybrid role is based in Gaithersburg, MD (or Manassas, VA) and is responsible for the commercial success and lifecycle management of ATCC’s advanced cellular models and primary cell product portfolio, including organoids, induced pluripotent stem cells, 3D culture systems, hepatocytes, and PBMCs. The role develops and executes product strategies, multi-year roadmaps, portfolio plans, commercialization approaches, pricing strategies, and lifecycle plans that support revenue growth, customer adoption, and market competitiveness across biomedical research, drug discovery, disease modeling, toxicology, precision medicine, and cell and gene therapy markets. Seeking Senior Manager, Product, ideally with product management experience in advanced cellular models or primary cells and experience supporting commercial portfolio strategy in life sciences markets. Requirements

  • PhD and 5 years, including 2 years of supervisory experience or equivalent experience (Master’s and 8 years, Bachelor’s and 12 years, or HS Diploma and 16 years).
  • Experience developing and executing product strategies, multi-year roadmaps, portfolio plans, commercialization plans, pricing strategies, and lifecycle plans.
  • Knowledge of advanced cellular models and primary cell products, including organoids, induced pluripotent stem cells, 3D culture systems, hepatocytes, and PBMCs.
  • Experience supporting biomedical research, drug discovery, disease modeling, toxicology, precision medicine, or cell and gene therapy markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, financial performance, and portfolio performance to guide product and investment decisions.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Scientific, Operations, Quality, Marketing, Sales, Commercial, customers, distributors, and key opinion leaders.
  • Experience presenting product strategies, business cases, portfolio performance, investment recommendations, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product strategies, multi-year product roadmaps, and portfolio plans aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Lead the complete product lifecycle for assigned product lines, including concept development, commercialization, growth, portfolio optimization, and retirement decisions.
  • Translate customer insights, market opportunities, application requirements, and portfolio strategies into product requirements, launch strategies, pricing approaches, and lifecycle plans.
  • Develop product business plans, revenue forecasts, pricing strategies, profitability targets, and investment recommendations that support portfolio growth and financial performance.
  • Partner with Scientific, Operations, Quality, Marketing, Sales, and Commercial stakeholders to support product development, commercialization, go-to-market execution, and customer adoption.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, portfolio performance, and lifecycle indicators to identify risks, growth opportunities, enhancements, and expansion strategies.
