About The Position

The EcoFit Plant General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of plant operations, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People Development, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the EcoFit modernization business while driving operational excellence, financial performance, manufacturing efficiency, and employee engagement. The Plant General Manager partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Commercial teams to ensure business objectives are achieved while supporting long-term growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading plant operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience driving operational excellence, productivity improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer, operational, and organizational challenges.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree (MBA or related field).
  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, power distribution, switchgear, or engineered-to-order environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience leading plant transformations, facility expansions, product transfers, or modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Schneider systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and financial performance objectives.
  • Develop and execute the plant's operational strategy aligned with business priorities and customer requirements.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership to manufacturing, warehouse, supply chain, methods, and support functions.
  • Successfully partner in a highly cross functional and matrix driven organization.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational excellence and business performance.
  • Lead capacity planning, workforce planning, and resource allocation to support growth and customer demand.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Schneider Performance System (SPS), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and environmental, health, and safety expectations.
  • Partner with Finance to manage budgets, capital investment planning, operational costs, and productivity initiatives.
  • Lead customer escalations and ensure effective execution of customer commitments.
  • Support strategic initiatives including modernization projects, automation, product transfers, operational expansion, and business transformation efforts.
  • Develop leadership capability and succession plans across the organization.
  • Present operational performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
