About The Position

This role is responsible for guiding, mentoring, and managing the work of Product Architects leading a team focused on integrations and services. The Sr Manager Product Architecture partners with application owners, designers, developers, business analysts and project managers to create solutions aligned to architecture principles, leveraging common and cloud-based solutions and services while meeting financial targets (cost and benefits).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience, required
  • 8+ years of related experience, required. Experience in data architecture, data modeling, and software development/programming, required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to team members, other departments, customers, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrates strong architecture experience skills working on SOA or micro service models, access-control environments, cloud-based solutions, and consumer facing environments.
  • Extensive experience with integrations technologies, iPaaS stacks, and researching new and existing technologies. Comprehensive API authentication skills, use and implementation including familiarity with REST languages such as JSON; use of tools for testing such as Postman.
  • Background leveraging artificial intelligence with engineering organizations.
  • Extensive industry knowledge and an understanding of service-oriented architecture databases and data modeling techniques, such as ERD creation with the ability to learn in complex and evolving environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure compute environments including AWS serverless models, data and cloud security protocols and requirements; system, platform, and account migrations; network infrastructure, monitoring and logging technologies; and API implementation and authentication s
  • Strong resource management skills with the ability to evaluate pragmatic, strategic technology alternatives to deliver short-term results while contributing to long-term strategic direction.
  • Strong ability to articulate the value proposition of getting solutions built using sound architecture principles; comfortably and credibly present to senior leadership.
  • Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Represents technology, strategy, and architecture in programs and initiatives. Partners with business stakeholders to understand strategy and drivers, providing solutions architecture recommendations, design, and guidance. Identifies gaps and opportunities for enhanced capabilities and automation frameworks. Monitors technology trends to assess emerging impacts and deliver viable solutions.
  • Oversees the architecture guild. Reviews and approves architecture analyses and designs to ensure fulfillment of requirements. Leads technology product evaluation and selection to support strategic initiatives. Initiates proofs of concept and builds prototypes to assess new solution approaches. Assists in developing strategies for integration stacks, data architecture and data modeling, AI integration, and broad dependency identifications.
  • Manages a team of architects and engineers for shared applications and services. Mentors and guides design, documentation of best practices, and architectural strategies. Reviews and approves architecture analyses and designs to ensure fulfillment of requirements.
  • Leads integration projects advancing SaaS-to-SaaS capabilities. Drives technology strategy, architecture, and design, leveraging AI for accelerated delivery.
  • Engages partners and vendors from research through service delivery. Produces conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic business and technology objectives through documentation of systems, architectures, process flows and value chains. Manages tradeoffs between speed, quality, security, and financial impact. Collaborates with development teams, leads meetings, and acts as a decision maker for technical solutions.
  • Owns solution evaluation and selection, including buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates within the solution development lifecycle which contribute to the technology needs and business case.
