About The Position

The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit Procurement Team has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Manager, Procurement to lead a team of Acquisition Professionals in the procurement activities associated with the sourcing and acquisition of Engineered Items requirements for the fast-paced LADS portfolio of programs. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth-oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs across multiple Mission Areas.

Requirements

• A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or similar role
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of acquisition professionals.
• Partner with our suppliers to drive effective performance, strong relationships, and reliable health within the supply chain.
• Manages internal customer and/or supplier issues
• Manage financial goals in relation to subcontract deliveries
• Drive the success of meeting business factory MRP requirements.
• Provide guidance regarding compliance to procurement policies and procedures:
• Preparation of all manner of solicitations including RFQ, RFP, and RFI
• Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques
• Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms)
• Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity
• Perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems
• Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as deemed necessary - typical travel may be monthly or more
