About The Position

The Senior Manager, Procurement leads strategic sourcing and category management initiatives to optimize cost efficiency and mitigate risks across complex supply chains. This role drives business plans by collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing financial data, and implementing supplier performance improvements. Responsible for mentoring and developing teams, the position ensures compliance with company policies and ethical standards while fostering a high-performance environment. The role requires strong negotiation skills, advanced problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners to achieve business objectives and continuous operational excellence. About the team: Our team supports Procurement and Travel Operations globally, focusing on delivering maximum savings and value for the Walmart Global Enterprise Business. We collaborate with world-class travel suppliers, leveraging strategic sourcing and negotiation skills to secure optimal rates and contracts. As a forward-thinking group, we engage with multiple global suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive supplier strategies. Reporting to senior leadership, the team drives cost efficiencies and risk mitigation while fostering strong supplier relationships to support the company’s continued success and operational excellence.

Requirements

You're a storyteller, you have a grip on interpreting complex data.
You have previous experience with airline procurement.
You're familiar with building effective RFPs, Stakeholder alignment & Sourcing Strategies
You have a great eye for detail and can articulate the specifics of quality.
You're organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You're a master at making complex subjects easily understood through visuals.
You have high standards and can hold project contributors accountable.
You're stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale.
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field.
6 years’ experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.

Responsibilities

Build and manage RFPs with suppliers.
Interpret & Analyze data.
Build and manage KPIs using tools and technology.
Interpreting Spend Analysis: The ability to read, analyze and tell the story from data.
Build Effective RFPs Modeling historic and real time market data to identify the right suppliers.
Engaging Stakeholders - Identify and meet with both internal and external teams to drive value and deliver savings.
Building strategic Sourcing Strategies: Maximize relationships with new and existing vendors, understanding, and evaluating their products and capabilities and negotiating advantageous rates.
Operating with excellence Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
