We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Manager, Procurement - Biologics Category for our Global Innovative Medicine (IM) Supply Chain Procurement team! This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey, Cork, Ireland or Zug, Switzerland Procurement is a key enabler in driving and supporting Johnson & Johnson’s growth. As part of Procurement organization, the Senior Manager is responsible for driving and/or supporting all aspects of spend performance such as reliability, innovation, costs, supply network readiness, and corporate citizenship goals, while collaborating with the wider procurement and supply chain community. The Biologics Category Senior Manager is responsible for the global procurement of Biologics direct materials which are used in Large Molecule Drug Substance (DS) Manufacturing across our network. The Senior Manager will lead the process and governance required to ensure Biologics material resiliency of our R&D pipeline. They will also develop and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, the sites, and the technical teams to improve supplier reliability and value creation. Success will be measured across multiple dimensions: financial performance, delivery performance, service, category strategy, and compliance adherence. Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's / University or equivalent degree is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred and/or focused degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • Certifications in CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or equivalent are helpful
  • Minimum of 8 of years of relevant work experience
  • Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience (e.g., Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Category, and/or Supplier Management)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to deliver succinct messages and influence (with and without direct authority) and engage partners/stakeholders/suppliers at all levels, and across categories, functions, and e2e supply chain, to drive outcomes
  • Strong business and financial acumen to drive business case creation and deliver value
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization is able to effectively and efficiently move through transitions

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with one or more of the following core Procurement skills: Supplier Performance, Supply Market Analysis, Cost Modeling, Category Management, Procurement Strategy, and/or Procurement Excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions Procurement to meet evolving business needs

Responsibilities

  • Lead the SRM process with critical suppliers at senior executive level that supply the goods, including performance management, reliability improvement, and value creation.
  • Ensure execution of category strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders for reducing total costs of externally purchased materials, goods and services and improving levels of quality, service, and value to the Business.
  • Systematically and efficiently manage complex contracts approval, administration, and compliance to maximize financial and operational performance and minimize risk.
  • Develop and drive the vision, strategy, and implementation plan in close collaboration with internal partners across the portfolio to deliver maximum value for J&J.
  • Manage the needs and expectations of the Business to drive satisfaction while ensuring compliance to procurement standards and alignment with procurement strategies; lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive reliability improvement.
  • Develop and maintain the strategic direction for the Procurement function, ensure alignment to strategic goals and standards and effectively manage the enabling tools and technology required across the function.
  • Lead the process to identify the needs of our NPI pipeline to ensure resiliency of the material choices & deploy governance to ensure execution.
