About The Position

At Clark Pacific, the Senior Preconstruction Manager plays a critical role in driving business growth and project success by leading preconstruction engagements for Clark Pacific’s prefabricated systems and products. Working within the Business Development and Preconstruction teams, this role is responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, leading deal pursuits, and managing preconstruction activities from early engagement through project award. The Senior Preconstruction Manager partners closely with customers, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that maximize value and position Clark Pacific as a preferred partner in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
  • Experience leading preconstruction efforts and managing high-value project pursuits.
  • Broad knowledge of structural building systems and construction methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of architecture, engineering, and building design principles.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business development and client management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful project pursuits.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ability to understand contractual obligations and project risk considerations.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
  • Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Experience with collaborative Design Assist or Design-Build project delivery methods preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
  • Lead and manage preconstruction engagements related to Clark Pacific’s products and systems across multiple markets.
  • Develop and execute deal strategies, including client engagement, rough quantity takeoffs, ROM estimates, and coordination of deliverables required to secure project awards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Support long-range business planning and align preconstruction efforts with Clark Pacific’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish sales goals, business development strategies, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, new construction technologies, and innovative building solutions to enhance Clark Pacific’s competitive position.
  • Increase Clark Pacific’s market share, revenue growth, and profitability through strategic project pursuits and client engagement.
  • Act as an early influencer with project stakeholders to promote prefabricated and total precast building solutions.
  • Participate in industry organizations, conferences, technical forums, and networking events to strengthen Clark Pacific’s presence in the market.
  • Partner with internal teams including Estimating, Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Field Operations to support successful project pursuits.
