Friends of Ruby supports 2SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 16–29 through mental health services, social programs, and housing. We operate a Youth Centre offering barrier-free counselling, case management, and community programming, alongside a Transitional Home providing emergency and long-term housing with life-skills support. Our work is rooted in intersectional, anti-oppressive, and decolonized approaches, and we are committed to treating everyone with dignity, respect, and inclusion. The Senior Manager of People & Culture is a key leadership role responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of the People & Culture function, overseeing talent management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, HR policy design, employee relations, internal communications, and culture and equity initiatives across the organization. Working closely with the VP, Strategy & Transformation and organizational leaders, and cross-functional departments, the role supervises a team of 3 and serves as a trusted strategic advisor who builds and strengthens workforce effectiveness, balancing compliance with care by supporting employee wellbeing, and fostering a workplace culture rooted in equity, inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning.
