Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources.
  • Managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of packaging engineers supporting commercial operations, ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
  • Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for deviations, implementing effective CAPAs.
  • Improve packaging line performance through enhanced equipment reliability, process robustness, and operational efficiency.
  • Own packaging configurations, specifications, and maintenance of the qualified state for commercial products.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and External Supply to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and inspection readiness.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, waste, and process variability.
  • Support change control activities, including packaging updates, material changes, and process improvements across internal and external sites.
  • Provide regular updates to site leadership on performance, key issues, and improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, network, and external partners to align on standards and share best practices.
  • Manage resources and priorities to meet production schedules and business needs.
  • Provide technical oversight to external partners and suppliers supporting packaging operations.
