About The Position

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is actively recruiting a Senior Manager for Operations Improvement. This role will oversee multiple projects by defining scope and objectives, establishing activities, deliverables, milestones, and timelines, coordinating planning, tracking changes, and resolving critical issues. The Senior Manager will manage project governance, identify resource needs, monitor budgets and costs, and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders. The position requires approximately 50% or more travel within the region and maintaining Mechanical Contractor Licenses in the state of employment. The role involves working directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility services needs. Additionally, the Senior Manager will manage content management initiatives, direct processes and procedures, manage behavior change and process improvement programs, drive the execution of business plans and projects, provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, and promote and support company policies and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 4 years’ experience in retail operations, content development, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in retail operations, content development, project management, or related area.
  • Must hold state and jurisdiction required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work. Reciprocal license may apply.
  • General Facilities Services / Overall Building Maintenance Experience – 3-5 years
  • Electrical, plumbing, and or mechanical experience
  • Leadership skills – Able to lead, motivate, and develop others
  • Communication/Interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills – Route cause and breakdown analysis experience
  • Customer service

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects by defining scope of work and project objectives.
  • Establish project activities, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
  • Coordinate planning activities and assemble management plans.
  • Track changes to plans and ensure resolution of critical issues.
  • Manage the governance of project plans.
  • Identify resources needed for project completion.
  • Monitor budgets and costs for projects.
  • Deliver presentations, status reports, and other project documentation to stakeholders.
  • Manage content management initiatives by evaluating and prioritizing content requests.
  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain tools, templates, and resources.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement intra-net content.
  • Provide guidance to the team on platform functionality, communication approaches, and content quality standards.
  • Ensure content and digital communications methods align with content governance standards.
  • Audit and track content variables.
  • Adapt content and digital communication methods to resolve audit concerns.
  • Direct processes and procedures for areas of responsibility by analyzing data to identify existing standards, processes, governance, and workflows.
  • Evaluate key business components to assess current performance baselines.
  • Identify areas of improvement.
