About The Position

The Senior Manager of Operational Excellence is responsible for leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance productivity within the organization. This role requires strategic thinking, a strong foundation in process improvement methodologies, process engineering, metrics management, data analysis, and the ability to manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Senior Manager will plan, staff, organize, direct, and control projects to achieve continuous improvement goals, while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and drive change initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize data and metrics for informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • LSS Blackbelt or Master Blackbelt certification required.

  • Master's degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the operational excellence strategy, aligning initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Identify key process improvement areas and contribute to the implementation roadmap.
  • Assess current operational processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to optimize workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve productivity.
  • Establish plans to improve and/or develop processes.
  • Lead plans to gather, process, and interpret data, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to improve business operations.
  • Implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of process improvements.
  • Engage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and provide necessary training and support to ensure successful transitions.
  • Develop, track, and analyze performance operational metrics and KPIs to measure operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Orchestrate cross-functionally the creation and implementation and of operational metrics reflecting process performance.
  • Work closely with leaders and teams across departments to ensure alignment of operational excellence initiatives with departmental objectives.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration to achieve shared goals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of operational excellence professionals.
  • Provide guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Advocate for a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to encourage employee engagement and a mindset focused on ongoing enhancement.

  • In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 15% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
