About The Position

Rex is seeking a Senior Manager of Treasury Operations to build and own the treasury function across a multi-entity platform. This is a zero-margin-for-error mandate: Rex moves millions across dozens of banking relationships and hundreds of accounts, and any shortfall, bounced wire, or tightening covenant must reach leadership immediately, alongside the fix. Radical candor is the operating standard, not a nice-to-have. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role is for an operator who wants to design the treasury infrastructure a scaling platform needs, not inherit someone else's spreadsheet. Three mandates anchor the role. First, multi-entity cash control and fraud defense: real-time daily cash positioning across every deal and operating company, with dual controls, strict callback protocols, and bulletproof positive pay protecting every transfer. Second, investor servicing and regulated entity discipline: capital calls, preferred return payouts, and promote splits with clean distribution reconciliations across 300+ investors, while keeping insurance and fiduciary capital strictly segregated across a captive insurance structure and Rex's tech and real estate operating companies. Third, treasury modernization: replacing manual reconciliation with API bank feeds and AI-leveraged tooling, building rolling liquidity forecasts that account for real-time CapEx burn and debt service, tracking agency debt covenants and DSCR tests without a dedicated underwriter, and optimizing treasury and ERP platforms (Trovata, Kyriba, Yardi, NetSuite) to keep the function lean as the entity list grows. The ideal candidate has 7 to 12 years of treasury or multi-entity cash management experience, has run complex cash operations through at least one full rate cycle, and won't be learning treasury controls on the job. A CPA, CTP, or relevant Master's is preferred, signaling the accounting and balance sheet rigor multi-entity structures demand. This role carries dual-authorization wire authority and requires a clean background and credit history, non-negotiable given the capital under management. Beyond credentials, this is a builder who leverages AI and automation to eliminate manual work, prioritizes operational safety and liquidity over squeezing the last basis point, and communicates fast and directly the moment something is wrong. Requirements

7 to 12 years of treasury or multi-entity cash management experience, having managed complex cash operations through at least one full rate cycle.
Uncompromising commitment to radical candor, integrity, and transparency; zero tolerance for hidden mistakes or slow communication.
Deep expertise in fraud defense and payment controls, including dual authorization, callback protocols, and positive pay, gained managing meaningful volume across many banks and accounts.
Proven ability to run multi-entity cash positioning with real-time visibility across numerous deals and operating companies, without relying on manual spreadsheets.
Builder mindset with hands-on experience using API bank feeds, automated reconciliation, and AI/LLM tools to eliminate manual work.
High-accuracy experience executing investor servicing and distribution mechanics, capital calls, preferred return payouts, promote splits, at scale (300+ investors or similar).
Working knowledge of regulated entity and intercompany discipline, including segregating fiduciary or insurance capital from operating capital; captive insurance experience is a plus.
Skilled in building dynamic, rolling liquidity forecasts incorporating CapEx burn, debt service, and operating runway, rather than static historical reporting.
Solid functional competency in agency debt and covenant tracking, including Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac liquidity, guarantor net worth, and DSCR testing, without dedicated agency underwriting experience.
Familiarity with modern treasury platforms (Trovata, Kyriba, or similar) and ERP systems (Yardi, NetSuite), able to optimize and connect tools without being a dedicated systems architect.
Practical, safety-first approach to cash deployment: money markets or short Treasuries, prioritizing safety and liquidity over marginal yield.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; CPA, CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), or a relevant Master's degree preferred.
Clean background and credit history required. This role carries dual-authorization wire authority over significant AUM across 20+ banks and 100+ accounts, making this non-negotiable.

Replace manual reconciliation with API bank feeds, automated tooling, and AI/LLM-driven processes, freeing time for judgment-intensive treasury decisions.
Execute capital calls, preferred return payouts, and promote splits with clean, accurate reconciliations across 300+ investors.
Maintain strict segregation of insurance and fiduciary capital across a captive insurance structure and Rex's tech and real estate companies, ensuring regulated-entity and intercompany hygiene.
Build rolling liquidity forecasts that account for real-time CapEx burn, debt service, and operating runway, replacing static historical reporting.
Track agency debt covenants, including Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac liquidity, guarantor net worth requirements, and DSCR tests, on a regular cadence.
Optimize and connect treasury and ERP platforms (Trovata, Kyriba, Yardi, NetSuite) to keep the function lean as the entity list grows.
Deploy excess liquidity into money markets or short-duration Treasuries, prioritizing safety and liquidity over squeezing the last basis point.
Support working capital needs across Rex's property management operations, spanning tens of thousands of managed units.
Build well-documented, scalable treasury systems, controls, and processes that hold up as the entity structure grows more complex.
Partner with the Head of Finance, fund operations, and capital formation teams to keep treasury execution aligned with lender requirements, investor commitments, and fund mechanics.
